Submitting an ADA Complaint

Any individual who feels they have experienced unlawful discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act can submit a complaint at no charge.

All complaints can be submitted in the following ways:

Over the phone by calling (808) 961-8744
Fax to (808) 961-8745
Email to heleonbus@hawaiicounty.gov (place in the email subject line “ADA Complaint”)
Mail to 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, HI 96720
In person to 2299 Hoʻolaulima Road, Hilo, HI 96720, Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
